Reachable only via the Feuerkogel Cable Car, Berggasthof Edelweiss is located high above Lake Traun and surrounded by the summits of the Höllengebirge mountains and offers a breathtaking view of the Salzkammergut.



Family-run for 3 generations, this mountain inn enjoys a unique location on one of the Salzkammerguts most beautiful panoramic plateaus. The rooms are lovingly and individually furnished in an alpine style.



The Berggasthof Edelweiss combines a wonderfully quiet and green location on the 1,600-metre Feuerkogel mountain with modern comfort. The skiing and hiking area starts right at the doorstep. A ski school, ski rental and mountain guides can be reached in a 3-minute walk.



Please note that the inn can only be reached by cable car (until 17:00). Parking is available free of charge at the valley station of the Feuerkogel Cable Car.

The overall rating was certainly most affected by the fact that we were very upset upon arrival, because we were not informed about it in advance - the only access to the guesthouse is by cable car, which runs every 30 minutes (the last one runs at 17:00!) and is not exactly the cheapest. This must therefore be included in the accommodation costs. The car must be left in the small parking lot at the bottom station of the cable car. The guesthouse is located at an altitude of over 1,500 meters above sea level in a very quiet location with plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling trips. There are a few buildings in the immediate vicinity, but nothing else.
