Later, a fortified camp was built here to defend this bridge. In the middle of the 13th century, the city received new walls and flourished until the Thirty Years' War. First, the city was conquered by the Swedes, who handed it over to the French, after the fall of Napoleon it was occupied by the Russians, and after the Congress of Vienna it fell to Prussia.
