Rimini Guide
The popular beach resort of Rimini is located on the Adriatic coast near the third smallest country in Europe, San Marino. With the surrounding towns of Bellaria, Cesenatico, etc., it creates a long strip of urban landscape. Rimini is one of the most famous seaside destinations not only in Italy but throughout Europe. Places of interest
Although most tourists go to Rimini mainly for beach fun, the old town offers historical and cultural monuments from the Middle Ages and the Roman period. The Tiberian Bridge, composed of five arches 60 meters long, will take you to the center of the historic center. Closer to the city center you will find the oldest monument, the Augustus Gate (Arco d'Augusto) made of white marble. This ancient arch connected the northern and southern parts of the city. The center of the historic center is the eye-catching Piazza Cavour and Piazza Tre Martiri.
Transport
The transport around the city is best on foot. Most hotels are located near the beach and the city center. For trips along the coast or inland, it is possible to use local buses and trains, which run according to regular transport schedules.
Fun parks in Rimini
To make your stay more pleasant, you can visit one of the amusement parks located around Rimini. Aqua park in the town of Riccione, can be easily reached by train from Rimini. The park "Miniature in Italia", where you can see scale buildings throughout Italy, offers its own bus, that will take you to the park. The cost of the bus ticket is to be deducted from the price of admission to the park itself. Those, who do not want to travel anywhere, can visit the dolphinarium directly in Rimini.
