Disneyland Paris - an unforgettable experience, crowd madness, but also an incredibly precisely functioning system of the entire park.
We went on a short trip to Paris. We only had 2 full days which we divided fairly 1 day sightseeing and the second day visiting Disneyland :)
How to get there
The cheapest and fastest way to get to the park from Paris is by RER A train – the red line. Don't worry about not finding it, it's not difficult. The price for 2 adults and 1 child is approx. 12 Euro / one way. You can buy tickets at a machine at the train station. Some take cash and cards, some only cards. The train takes about 40 minutes. Then you get off at the last stop, Marne-la-Vallée Chessy. The train station is directly in front of the Disneyland entrance.
Tickets
Buy tickets to the park itself in advance online for a specific day. You can cancel it free of charge 3 days in advance. It's not the cheapest, but it's certainly the easiest way. The price of the entrance fee varies according to the date and then which entry option you choose. Whether you just want to go to the Disneyland park or to the adjacent Walt Disney Studio. The first mentioned is the original, larger and also intended for small children. The other is newer, smaller and adapted for older children. We chose the option of both parks at once and spent over 9 hours there. However, I must add that we did not manage to do everything. On the other hand, I would probably recommend both parks at once. If you buy tickets online, you will receive it in the Disneyland app. Download this app in any case - it has map of the entire park, which shows you how many minutes you have to wait for each attraction. I didn't believe it, but it's good to watch it properly. However, the main attractions always have a long waiting time. Many people mention the convenience of the fass pass, which means priority entry to the attraction (where there is a queue all day and the wait is approximately 60 minutes). These passes are really good, but quite expensive. The price for 1 person is approx. 121 Euros per day. Or you can buy a fass pass only for the given attraction online via the app, the price is approx. 12 Euro/person. So it depends on you. These fass passes are only for selected attractions - those where the wait is the longest. If you use this fass pass, you must come to the attraction at a certain time as a priority. The distance is about 20 minutes.
The weather and the number of people
We visited the park on a rainy weekday, and by that I mean permanent rain. We thought, a little naively, that the attendance would be lower in such rain. Err, IT WASN'T, and not by chance, the park was bursting at the seams. Honestly, I can't even imagine what it's like during a weekend or a holiday, even if the weather is nice. So prepare yourself for waiting for everything, including the toilets.
Walt Disney Studio Park
The entrance is on the left just after you go through the control point. To enter, you just attach the QR code and continue. Attractions we visited: Spider-Man W.E.B - we waited in line here for over 60 minutes (and it doesn't get any shorter during the day). Experience - you get 3D glasses and ride a big cart for about 2 minutes shooting spider webs, not much for an hour wait. The Twining Zone Tower of Terror - 30 minute wait, but usually around an hour. It's worth it though. I won't reveal what awaits you, it wouldn't be fun :).
Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop - This is a warm up round for visiting The Twilling Zone :). Avengers Assemble: Flight Force - 10 minute wait, dense roller coaster - I recommend. RC Racer - a warm-up attraction before the Avengers roller coaster - right next door.
Then we also caught a few children's like Slinky Dog, Cars
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to wait in lines to visit Crush's Coaster (must be great) and Ratatouille.
Disneyland Park
Just entering the park is beautiful. After entering, you will pass houses full of shops and restaurants. Then a breathtaking view of the fairytale castle awaits you. Everyone here is trying to get the best photo, even in costumes :).
There are really many attractions here, but the best ones logically have the longest waiting times. Star Wars Hyperspace Moutain – again a pretty dense roller coaster, you get shot by a rocket and then look forward to…
Big Thunder Mountain – a beautifully done laid back roller coaster with an amazing view, but again a longer wait. Indiana Jones - roller coaster, only for bigger ones, here the minimum height of the child is 1.4 meters. Most (even the dense attractions) have a minimum height of 1.2m.
You can walk through the nice Adventure Isle without waiting.
In both parks, several performances are also held during the day, whether it is a Spider-Man show, a Disney Character Promenade, etc.
Food and drink
An abundance of restaurants and stalls, but even here you will have to wait. If water is enough for you, it is possible to top it up in on of the few drinking fountains here. I recommend to bring a large snack. You can eat it in the queue while waiting for an attraction, to pass the time and replenish energy for the next wait.
Accommodation
A trip to Disneyland can be done as a 1-day event or you can stay here for several days and then it is worth to spend the night somewhere nearby - you can choose accommodation HERE.
