I was in Hotel Slavie 5 years ago, more than a disaster back then. Today they have completely rebuilt the hotel and are still building on it. The renovation has a positive effect, the rooms are a good size and spacious, which unfortunately does not exist are seating, except for 1 chair, there is only the bed to sit in the room and there is no possibility of getting a chair. Smoking is allowed in the rooms, which isn't bad for us smokers. The negative is that it's also allowed to be roughened in the hallway, which isn't great for children. As far as the TV offer is concerned, I can only say that it depends on which room you get, if you are lucky you will get a room with the private TV channels on the TV, if not then you only get the 3 programs for children in the evening can be boring. The negative is that the cleaning lady just came into the room for the 3 days we were there when you asked for it at the reception, otherwise the towels weren't even changed. There is not much to say about the restaurant, tomorrow there will be a "breakfast buffet" which you have to pay extra for 5 euros per person. But it's not worth more. Buffet consists of sausage, some cheese, jam, Nutella, Rama or butter. Hard-boiled eggs, yoghurt, coffee, multi-vitamin juice and cold milk for Kaba that cannot be warmed up. For the same money you get more and better offered in other restaurants. Otherwise, the restaurant is not exactly cozy and if the weather doesn't allow you to sit outside on the pedestrian zone, it's not inviting. But as we found out, we built a lounge area in the new extension to sit comfortably. All in all, it is a cheap option to stay centrally in Eger (Chep). And thanks to surveillance cameras in the corridors and in front of the hotel, you can also leave the children alone in the room for a short time in the evening to go to the small, cozy bar right next door.
