Khao Lak Guide
Popular tourist destination Khao Lak is located in the province of Phang Nga on the west coast of Thailand. About 60 km north of Phuket. Khao Lak consists of about 20 km of beaches that are washed by the Andaman Sea. The development of tourism here began at the end of the 20th century. However, this boom was briefly ended by a terrible tsunami in December 2004. Khao Lak was one of the worst affected areas. Fortunately, everything became operational again within a few years, including the surrounding countryside. The best time to visit Khao Lak is between November and February. You can expect the rainy season here between May and October.

If you are flying to Thailand and you plan to stay only in Khao Lak, the best way is to fly to Phuket. From the airport, you can drive about an hour.
