History of Val Thorens
The 3 valleys area originally consisted of the three valleys of Saint-Bon, Allues and Belleville, later it was expanded to include the fourth Maurienne valley, which is adjacent to the Val Thorens valley, but has already retained its name. Modern history began with the construction and opening of the Val Thorens resort at Christmas 1971.
