A-HOTEL.com requests credit card details to confirm your reservation with the hotel on your behalf. We will never charge your credit card. Your credit card may be checked (pre-authorised) to ensure that it is valid and/or that sufficient funds are available. After the check, the full amount will be available to you again. The hotel will only charge your credit card if you have requested a pre-paid room or if the cancellation policy, found under ‘Hotel Policies’ and room ‘conditions’ has not been followed.
Most hotels do not require an advance payment or deposit. If they do you will find the details under ‘Hotel Policies’ on the hotel’s A-HOTEL.com page and in your confirmation email.
MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners Club can be used on our website. However, it is possible that the hotel does not accept one or more of these card types. Before making your reservation, please check at the bottom of the hotel policies section for “Accepted credit cards”.
It depends on the hotel. Please contact the hotel after your booking to be sure, and to make the necessary arrangements. You can find the hotel’s contact information in your confirmation email or online at My Booking.
In most cases the hotel will accept payment for the stay on a different card or in cash. Please ensure that the new card or cash is accepted by the hotel.
Generally hotels cannot accept a debit card to guarantee a booking. However, there are some exceptions. You will be able see if it is possible during the booking process.
A valid credit card is needed to guarantee the reservation with the hotel. However, you can make a booking using someone else’s card provided you have their permission. If this is the case please mention the card holder’s name, and that they have given permission for you to use their card, in the ‘comments’ box when you make your reservation.
Your credit card information is sent to us through a secure server. We use the latest, most secure technology available, which encrypts all your personal and credit card details. The encryption method used is the industry standard “Secure Socket Layer” (SSL) technology. Our SSL certificate has been issued by Thawte.
You can find the CVC-code in the back of your credit card. It's the last 3 digits (Euro/Mastercard, Visa) or 4 digits (American Express) printed on the signature strip.

Hotels require credit card details in order to guarantee your reservation. Your credit card information will be sent directly to the reserved hotel. When you make a booking you will automatically enter into an agreement with the hotel you have chosen. We will not charge your credit card, as you will pay for your stay at the hotel.
Be assured that we take our responsibility regarding your credit card information very seriously. We use the industry standard “Secure Socket Layer (SSL)” technology to encrypt your credit card details. Therefore we can guarantee that every transaction made is 100% safe.
Our service is free of charge. Unlike many other parties, A-HOTEL.com will not add any additional fees, like a reservation fee, to the room rate.
Please follow the instructions in the confirmation email in case you need to cancel your stay. If you cancel according to the cancellation policy of the hotel, it will be free of charge. We recommend you read the cancellation policy of the hotel carefully. If you cancel later than requested by the hotel or do not show up, the hotel might charge you a fee which is in most cases an equivalent for 1 night stay. Note, A-HOTEL.com will not charge you any cancellation fee whatsoever.
