The hotel was beautiful in the old style, breakfast was brought to our room, it was enough, it is a great hotel in the center of Prague at an affordable price. It was a pleasure to visit the Old Prague, price was resonable, service fine and VERY central in the "old town" We will recommend to other frinds in Denmark! I think that the hotel should made an arrangement for PARKING of Car's, so that it is possible to order a P Place together with the Hotel!(Only an idea)

Hotel was very central to all attractions but in a quiet street. Breakfast was served in the room. There was lots of it. 5 bread rolls each day, a packet of meat slices, patti, butter, jam, etc, as well as corn flakes, tea and coffee. We made a packed lunch with some of the breakfast rolls. Would stay again. many thanks.

Excellent hotel, one of the cheapest, friendliest, best located hotels I have stayed in, in Prague! Cannot fault it in any way-try it, you'll see!!

when we arrived the bed was not made. it had an old curtain threw over it. we asked at reception for the bed to be made up while we went out for dinner. when we came back the man at reception started giving out to us as he had to lock the hotel door while be found bedding and people were trying to get in. We explained it wasn't our fault but he blamed us. When we got to our room he had left the bedding on the bed but didn't actually make it up. We had to put the duvet in the cover and put the sheets on ourselves. If we wanted a self catering holiday we would have asked for one. The girls at reception were more interested in smoking rather than the concern of their guests. We were ignored on more than one occassion. Prague was lovely but you seem to always remember the bad points. very disappointed with hotel.

We keep good mémories of Prague. For the Hotel we have had a cheep room with two single beds. We think that because we are foreign visitors. When sombody reserve a room for five nights it should be interesting to give him a beautiful room and no a romm in de back yard.

The hotel is located in the immediate center of the city, the clients are welcomed by a very nice and helpful staff. The flexibility of the services is very coordinated and thought out, which makes the entire stay easier for the visitors. The food is excellent, the rooms are clean and modernly furnished. Athos Travel referred me to this hotel because the one I had requested was booked up. I couldn't have been happier about the Hotel Prague Expres--my room was bright, spaceous and beautiful, with a wonderful view of the rooftops. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and made sure I had transport to and from the hotel. I appreciated the free internet as well. It's ideally located in the Old Town, within walking distance of everywhere, and I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean, quiet and had some really nice views in back.We were not disturbed by late nught partyers as in other central locations. I especially liked the girl behind the desk who would move Heaven and Earth to please a guest. As you know, the elevators are ridiculously samll. Pity there is no diningroom We had a serious conversation about that. Diningroom for breakfast makes it easy to plan the mornings exit.But we chose the location in spite of the lonely breakfasts in our rooms. We think there should be something hot on the tray like scrambled eggs or hard boiled eggs. But we loved the Expres and look forward to a long and happy relationship The schoolyatd was noisy but I liked that!!

• Activities for night time not good unless you were going clubbing or to a bar for the evening. More cabaret shows or similar (not strip joints) would be good.

At first we got a room with damp and told the reception that we wanted to change. We got a new room the sekond day and that room was ok. The transfer worked perfect. The man who drove us told us about Prag during the trip and we also got a map.

• It's nice to have breakfast brought to the room, and a big breakfast too. Nice and helpful staf. Safetybox in the reception, which was open 24 hours, felt good.

• One of the young men i the reception asked us several times, when we should pick up the key, if we had left it earlier. That felt most unsecure!

We`re very pleased with the service the young boy at night when we had a break in to our hotelroom and our passport were stolen. The only complaint I have, is that I do not think it was right that we should pay full price because of this happening. Obiously someone in your staff is not a good person! Otherwise we were happy about the location and the rooms. The cleaning were not of the best.

I loved this place. Fantastic location, quiet street off a small square; very short walk to old town, Mustek metro, Narodni trams. Just next door to decent exchange office and nice little ice cream shop. Nice low price, compared to the other places around it. Staff was very willing and able to help with all sorts of stuff. I'm hard-pressed to think of anything bad about the place. I was in room #2, on the courtyard, no noise in the morning. There was more noise in the evening from guests (show me a quiet motel on a Saturday night and I'll show you a dying business). Breakfast was more than simple continental: 2 cereals, milk, juice, yogurt, water for coffee or tea, bread, sliced meat, cheeses, jellys, snacks. I was saving stuff for picnic lunch! If you want a large hot breakfast you should dine out; plenty of good pubs and cafes within a block. I loved the bed: not too low, and very firm (I prefer it that way, though others may not ). Only had 1 sheet/blanket, but I never asked for more. My room had 2 single-beds (side-by-side), only one made up (I asked for a single). Small bathroom (by american standards, not cramped) with shower, no bath. OK, there's a sex shop across the street. Talk about a dying business: I never saw anyone stand outside, let alone go in. The street was peaceful and uncrowded, very pleasant.

I stayed at Hotel Prague Expres for one weekend. I was looking for a hotel located in the centre, somewhere between the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. Hotel Prague Expres has the location I was looking for. If you want to stay 1-3 nights in Prague, this is the ideal hotel. The rooms look really nice and clean; the staff is very helpful and polite; the breakfast (although they don't have a restaurant/breakfast room) is excellent (milk, juice, tea, coffee, bread, ham, cheese, cornflakes...and something sweet :-))). I read the reviews before booking the hotel and I knew the hotel will be at least decent, but I had a really nice surprise: the hotel is excellent and the price is affordable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. I will come back to Prague and I will certainly book a room at Hotel Prague Expres.

Hotel was in an excellent postion. Walking distance to just about everything - Charles Bridge, Old Town, Lesser Town, Wencelas square etc. Never used a taxi or tram. Excelleent Restaurants in vicinity. Hotel very clean, Basic rooms but great value for money for the location. Staff very friendly. Breakfast provided in your room, continental style which is fine to get you started in the morning. Overall very good. Used the transfer service of A Prague to and from the airport, an excellent service for very cheap. Very punctual and the driver - Josef was full of information/tips.

We enjoyed our stay and both David at the Desk and David who took us to the airport were wonderful. Unfortunately, when we arrived on September 23rd, we were only signed up for one (1) room. If you check our reservation, we had reserved two rooms. Our friends, the Richters, were coming by train in the evening. When they arrived, there were no rooms available. David did find a room for them around the corner and they did find a room at The Expres Hotel the next night.

• Desk person was wonderful. David helped us with train reservations, restaurants, concerts and directions!

Excellent location, friendly staff.After being travelling for a month , staying at hotels with really tiny rooms my daughter and I were surprised to find that our room was big enough to be very comfortable. The bathroom was just...perfect size. Breakfast was really generous. I was supposed to arrive at 9 pm. In fact i arrived at 1 am. Although it was pretty late I found at the front desk a smiling guy eager to help. GRACIAS

Günstiges, sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel in der Prager Altstadt. Man kommt zu Fuß eigentlich überall hin. Waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort und hatten keine größeren Ansprüche. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, gute Nasszellen und die Rezeption ist 24 Stunden besetzt. Das mit dem Frühstück war schon witzig. Da es keinen Speisesaal gibt, bekommt man das auf das Zimmer. Zu der gewählten Zeit ( bis 09.30 Uhr) klopft es dann und eine Frau bring zwei kleine Wäschekörbe mit dem Frühstück. Dazu eine Kanne mit heißem Wasser, womit man sich den Instant Kaffee aufbrühen kann... Na, ja - nicht so üpig, doch in Prag kann man vor allem in den Seitengassen super und sehr günstig essen. Wer also mal mit einer Gruppe ohne große Ansprüche nach Prag möchte, sollte das Hotel ruhig buchen. Wer mit seiner Familie da hin will, sollte es lieber lassen - der Sexshop direkt gegenüber mit den vielen "bösen" Wörtern auf der Scheibe und der Oben - ohne - Nachclub 15 Meter weiter könnte die Eltern etwas in Erklärungsnot bringen... Also, viel Spass in Prag - ist eine super Stadt!!!!

Just returned but what a pleasant surprise. Although basic (and what else would you expect at this price?) the hotel was spotlessly clean and efficiently run. There is no dining room so breakfast is left at your room door. With its bright yellow signage you can't fail to notice the sex shop opposite but the one topless bar to the right looks just like any other bar and there is a peep show a couple of doors to the left which is barely noticable. There are no other 'sex industry' facilities in the area, the rest of this quiet area is shops with traditional Czech drinking bars around the corners of the street. To sum up, it's not the Ritz but it's worth a try for a cheap holiday.

Clean, centrally-located, VFM hotel but be aware that it is located opposite a large sex shop with fluorescent yellow windows whose advertising leaves NOTHING to the imagination. The topless bars on either side seem tame in comparison.......... Having said this the area seemed quiet when we were there (Xmas 04)

The location is great but do not take any of the "courtyard" rooms. The staff starts banging about and cackling like hens at 6:30 am, seemingly oblivious the three rooms adjacent to their break table.

A solid choice for accomodation in Prague---pretty reasonably-priced for a simple, clean room in an excellent location. It's about a five minute walk from the end of Wenceslas Square in one direction, five minutes from Powder Gate in the other direction, and ten minutes (tops) to Old Town Square.

Good basic hotel, clean and simple. Sadly we found no trace of a bar or restaurant on the premises, and nowhere to get a hot drink or snack. Staff very helpful.

Small but clean rooms. But the breakfast was boring (every day the same) Price for the romms with shared bath are very comfortabel. I could absolutly recommend this hotel. The Hotel is at very god place. less then 5 minutes walk to Charls Bridge, Wenzelslaw Square and Old town square. Even Metrostation and Tram-Stations are nearby. Perfect.
