Koh Kood Guide
Koh Kood is Thailand's 4th largest island. It is located in the eastern part of Thailand in the province of Trat, not far from the maritime border with Cambodia. Ko Kood can offer its visitors beautiful white sand beaches lined with coconut trees or beautiful waterfalls hidden in the jungle. Despite the constant development of tourism, Ko Kood is still a natural gem of Thailand. If you like empty beaches and beautiful nature, this is the place just for you. Transport
Ko Kood can be reached by boat from nearby islands of Ko Chang or Ko Mak. Every day comes here a larger boat from Pattaya. When exploring the island, it is absolutely necessary to be able to drive a scooter, without which you would be completely lost here. However, there is nothing to worry about as local roads are smaller asphalt roads and traffic is absolutely minimal.
Beaches
There are several beaches and certainly all are worth a visit. All beaches can be found on the west side of the island. There are none in the east part of the island . Central and largest is the Klong Chao Beach. At this beach, there are several luxury hotels and restaurants. In the northern part of the beach flows a stream into the ocean. Here it is possible to rent a kayak and ride into its mouth full of mangroves. A favorite beach for backpackers is Bang Bao Bay. The southernmost beach is the wide bay of Ao Phrao.
Waterfalls
At Ko Kood you can visit 3 waterfalls, in two of them you can swim and the experience is really amazing. None of the waterfalls has been charged yet. The most frequented tourist is Klog Chao Waterfall. It is about 10 minutes' walk from the car park, where you can contribute to its maintenance. This waterfall is important for Thai people as in 1911 it was visited by King Rama VI. Another waterfall worth a visit is Khlong Yai Ki Waterfall.

Ko Kood is an island, where you can still enjoy the unspoiled nature and also the true life of the locals. There are no 7/11 shops or a supermarkets. You can buy all you need in small shops run by locals. Along the roads, you can choose from several restaurants that you can find here.
